AVAX to BTC FAQ
Do I need to connect an Avalanche wallet?
No. The exchange issues a deposit address on Avalanche and you send AVAX to it from Core, MetaMask, Rabby, Ledger or an exchange withdrawal. Nothing is signed in the browser.
How long does AVAX to BTC take?
The Avalanche deposit confirms fast. The payout is a Bitcoin transaction, and Bitcoin blocks take about ten minutes, so the BTC is spendable a little later than on other routes.
Which Bitcoin address can receive the BTC?
Any Bitcoin address, legacy, SegWit or bech32 (bc1…). The payout is a normal Bitcoin transaction. You can spend it once it confirms.
Do I get real BTC?
Yes. The payout is an ordinary Bitcoin transaction to your address. It is not a wrapped token on another network and there is no claim step.
What happens if the swap fails after I send AVAX?
The AVAX is refunded on Avalanche and the order page shows the refund status. A failed route does not leave funds stuck halfway.
